{"id":1877,"date":"2023-07-24T15:16:57","date_gmt":"2023-07-24T19:16:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/businesspartners2convince.org\/?post_type=resource&#038;p=1877"},"modified":"2023-07-24T15:16:57","modified_gmt":"2023-07-24T19:16:57","slug":"new-report-by-business-fights-poverty-on-advancing-vaccine-equity","status":"publish","type":"resource","link":"https:\/\/businesspartners2convince.org\/resource\/new-report-by-business-fights-poverty-on-advancing-vaccine-equity\/","title":{"rendered":"New Report by Business Fights Poverty on Advancing Vaccine Equity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In light of Immunization Week in May, Business Fights Poverty released a <a href=\"https:\/\/businessfightspoverty.org\/report\/advancing-vaccination-equity-europe-report\/\">new report, <em>Advancing vaccination equity: stopping the spread of vaccine-preventable disease among people experiencing poverty and social exclusion<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The report is relevant to our community for three main reasons:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Outbreaks of vaccine-preventable diseases like measles, polio and diphtheria are rising in every region, including Europe \u2013 threatening lives and livelihoods.<\/li>\n<li>Large pockets of under-vaccinated groups in Europe tend to be those living in states of vulnerability, be it due to poverty, migration status or belonging to a particular religious or racial group.<\/li>\n<li>Under vaccination threatens herd immunity and defeats other public health goals, including Europe\u2019s Beating Cancer Plan.
